The Top 20 Rules & Guidelines
Open to Aircooled VW powered vehicles with the following guidelines:

General:

1. Contestants must be registered users of the site forum
2. Alternate cars that are powered by an aircooled VW engine are permitted to enter based on all other guidelines in place. (i.e. Fiat's, Buggies, Manx’s)
3. Time slips are to be from the current year commencing on March 1st 2007 and ending on October 31st 2007.
4. It is not required to submit a time slip with your submission but you may be required to submit proof if a competitor contests your entry so save them!
5. All ET's must be to the third decimal point (i.e.: 12.XXX). Entries submitted short of the required decimal point requirement will automatically have a "9" entered (i.e.: 12.03 will be entered as 12.039) MPH must be submitted to the second decimal point (i.e.: 107.XX)
6. Altitude correction factors will be used as per NHRA Altitude Correction formulas - Submit uncorrected times only!
7. Cheating will not be tolerated; anyone found to have submitted a false time will be removed from the contest for the rest of the year, no exceptions.
8. Contestants will only be eligible for prizes if they are listed in the black portion of their respective lists.

General Vehicle Requirements:

1. All cars must be licensed and driven on the street. Yearly insurance is not necessary, permits are allowed. Proof of insurance may be requested.
2. Car must have functional seat belt(s)
3. Car must have working headlights, signal lights and taillights
4. Cars must meet NHRA safety requirements according to the vehicles ET and MPH capability
5. Radials or slicks permissible
6. No minimum weight restriction but keep in mind NHRA requirements and your personal safety
7. Car must have working brakes at all wheels
8. Car must have a safety glass windshield
9. Cars must be driven by the registered owner
10. Car must have working alternator/generator; fan belt can be removed for racing

Real Street Shootout Requirements & Guidelines:

1. Radials street tires only – No Slicks or DOT slicks
2. Car must have functional seat belt(s)
3. Car must have functional headlights, signal lights and tail lights
4. Car must have working brakes at all tires
5. Car must have working windshield wipers
6. Car must have a safety glass windshield
7. Car must have a working alternator/generator; fan belt may be removed to race
8. Car must complete a drive to the track under the cars’ own power on the night of the event – Start location and length of drive to be determined.
9. No race fuel allowed – cars will stop at a predetermined gas station and all put in $xx of fuel in their tanks to complete the cruise.

Race Only Class:

1. Cars must meet NHRA safety requirements according to the vehicles ET and MPH capability

The ACTop20 is a friendly contest, smack talk / grudge matches are encouraged but keep it clean. Have a safe season!
